Hyun is a member in good standing of the New Jersey Bar and New York Bar, having been admitted in December 2010 and February of 2011 respectively. Hyun is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

In 2005, Hyun received her bachelor's degree at Rutgers University. She graduated cum lade from Vermont Law School in May 2010. During law school, Hyun was the Vice-President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and Treasurer for the Women's Rugby team. Hyun served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kimarie Rahill, J.S.C., Warren County, Family Division, and was a senior intern to the United States District Judge Michael A. Shipp.

Hyun is a skilled matrimonial attorney, practicing in all areas of divorce, including but not limited to custody, equitable distribution, post-judgment issues, and domestic violence. Hyun is also trained in collaborative law as well as family mediation. Hyun has experience in civil litigation, personal injury, breach of contracts, and municipal law.

Hyun is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Young Lawyer's Division. Hyun was named a New Jersey Super Lawyers "Rising Star" for 2016 in the area of Family Law. Hyun is a former fire fighter in the Town of Clinton, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, and she currently serves as a Trustee on the Board of Trustees for CASA-SHaW (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren counties). Hyun provides one-hour free divorce consultations.
